What kind of RC Car Should I Buy

The world of RC cars is a wonderful place, but only if you enter it with the right kind. Considering that there’s an ever-growing number of RC cars, trucks and other vehicles being made, it can be difficult to know which one should be a good entry point. Even experienced RC car fans are on the lookout for the next nice upgrade or addition to their premium collection.

Have you been wondering what kind of RC car you should buy next? Whether it’s your newest model or your very first one, the recommendation I have to suggest to you is the Bezgar HM124. This is one of the coolest and sleekest RC cars I’ve ever seen, and I’m sure it will satisfy newcomers and experienced users alike.

HM124 Specifications and Overview

The Bezgar HM124 is a 1/12 scale model RC car, making it a little larger than the 1/16 scale cars you might only be used to. It measures at 13 inches long, 10 inches wide and 6 inches tall, so it will definitely be noticeably bigger when standing next to a 1/16 scale car.

The HM124 also has an impressive max speed of 32 mph, making it considerably faster than your average RC car. Many RC cars or trucks need to be modded with new motors or tires in order to reach speeds like this, so the fact that this Bezgar car is this fast right out of the box is convenient and impressive.

As you can expect, it’s also heavier than a standard RC car coming in at 6 pounds, not that this weight is going to be any problem when it comes to its speed and range though. With the 3 rechargeable batteries, the HM124 can be used for up to an hour of use, giving it great mileage.

Speed and Performance

Part of the reason why I consider this to be the RC car to get is because it has a very high max speed that will satisfy most people. While many RC cars that come with a max speed of 15 mph is enough to satisfy some people, it will not be enough to satiate those who have already gotten a taste of the higher speeds.

More importantly, many people who enter the world of RC cars with a beginner model end up upgrading. If you have the cash and the determination to stick with it, you might as well go straight to a model that you were going to upgrade to anyway. With a max speed of 32 mph, the HM124 is not too fast for beginners but not too slow for more experienced users either. It’s a fantastic sweet spot that will make this RC car great for racing or off-road excursions.

The battery length is also a huge plus. A lot of great RC cars or trucks will only have a range of 15 to 20 minutes. The fact that you can get up to 60 minutes with the HM124 is a big deal, especially if you plan on using this on a daily basis.

Durability and Build Quality

Even though the RM124 is an RC car and not an RC monster truck, that doesn’t mean you should underestimate how truly bulky it is. The HM124 is outfitted with all of the necessary components to make it as sturdy and smooth as possible.

One of those components is the full-metal drivetrain that is integrated into the internal car body structure. This drivetrain provides an incredible sense of stability when it comes to braking, steering and acceleration. It’s hard to put into words just how smooth this baby feels when running it, but it’s a level of professionalism you will hardly find in other RC cars in this price range.

The mainly aluminum metal alloy casing also makes the HM124 very resilient when it comes to drops and collisions. Remember, this is ultimately an off-road RC car, meaning you need to put it to the test to really feel its true potential. Using this baby on rocks, dirt, sand and even snow still makes you feel like you are behind the wheels of an unstoppable force, so to speak.

Another great feature that Bezgar is known for putting in their high-end RC car models are the oil-filled metal shock absorbers. This fortifies the wheels and the suspension to make them extra shock and collision resistant. It’s the reason why rocks, puddles and sand are no match for this model. This means that its outdoor performance is very impressive on all kinds of terrain.

Minor Downsides

The main issue I’ve had using the HM124 is that it has trouble reaching its 32 mph max speed when the battery is low. While the battery range itself is great, you may find yourself charging the battery prematurely more often if you really want to use this RC car to the full extent of its power.

However, if you plan ahead for that and get used to it, it isn’t a big deal and you’ll still be able to enjoy using your RC car for racing and having fun with it at full power.

Final Thoughts

When asking yourself what kind of RC car you should buy, you always need to take into consideration its main specs like the speed and range. You should also always think about how durable it is, how cool it looks, how well the handling is and if it can handle various terrains well, including wet ones.

I’m happy to report that the Bezgar HM124 is an exceptional RC car in all of these domains. The battery life is phenomenal, it has solid water resistance, excellent shock and collision resistance, and the steering and handling are simply great. This is an excellent RC car that people of all ages can appreciate. If you’re not put off by the price tag, you are guaranteed to have the time of your life with this high speed beast of an RC car.
