TX123 New Fast RC Boat for Beginners (2 Batteries)

Overall a good package but water got into the hull.

This boat RC is one of the more premium builds in this price range. I think at $100, this would be a five Star package. One thing that sets this boat apart from the sub $100 boats is that this has a double seal of protection. You have the outer shell that locks in, as well as the under-hull door. Be sure to place the battery in the battery tray because water could potentially enter through the in and out water ports. The tubes are seated, but not clamped down so they could over time come loose. Be sure to check the inner cooling tubes and make sure they are seated securely before putting the boat in the water each time. The controller takes x3 AA batteries, so make sure you grab some of those. A nice to have, you get x2 chargers, one for each battery. You will need to have your own USB charging brick though. As for the driving characteristics, this boat has some fun speed, but don't expect it to be as fast as the bigger RC speed boats, but it's enough to put a smile on your face. If you can get this on sale for $100 or less, I would recommend it for sure.

Comes with a travel case and a stand you can put together and keep it on while it's drying off. Very well made, it won't turn on until you put it in the water then turn on remote and sync them. Pretty quick little thing, not crazy loud. Fisherman cake so we left so they could fish or we would've played with it forever.

?Ok, so this isn't as fast as my brushless boat, but it is definitely just as fun. The carrying case, two batteries, and two chargers are icing on the cake. I've not gotten a boat before with two batteries, and definitely not one that comes in its own storage/carrying case.With both batteries fully charged, we were on the lake for 40-50 minutes. And the second battery still had not given us the warning it was time to come in. We were blazing hot and hungry, so we stopped short of testing the limit of the second battery.It has all the features I expect: lights button, variable speed, self-righting, warning beep for low battery, etc. I didn't push the distance, as I didn't have a raft handy for recovery, but as you can see from the pic, it definitely got way out into the lake.We did flip it, and a quick push and pull on the trigger got it back up and running.We didn't put the rubberized nose cone on, as it was very loose. It definitely would just come off during operation. So we left it off. It's totally fine.It's so much fun, folks were commenting on it. People definitely wanted one of these!It's a fun toy, and I highly recommend!

This boat is fast and affordable. It's all plastic and feels a bit light, but the boat does well in the lake. Watch out for any choppy waters. It's small enough that it struggles in rough water. While the lake was smooth the boat ran fast and responsive. This is a great gift item for entry level RC boating. I would recommend.
